There is just so much going on right now. It is hard to write it all down. I went back to college last quarter for computer classes for an IT degree and life has changed so drastically. School, work, home and family.

Then I got it in my head to improve me and embarked on way too much lol. I rented a garden plot from community gardening and OMG! the weeds, the weeds! lol. I started to improve my keyboarding skills to improve my typing speeds, I have been trying to brush up on my math facts and math skills because I need to take college allgebra in October. I also started dieting and joined a gym. OMG! the prices of swimsuits these days!!!

My dear teenage son is now the proud holder of a driver's learner's permit and we try to find time to teach him to drive. Like I need gray hairs yet. lol. Aww he's a great kid really he is, but driving is so very stressful!

I interviewed for a job yesterday and got the job! I will be a receptionist at a local business. woo hoo! Thank you for all of the fingers crossed and prayers sent my way. I have been out of regular work for 14 months. I have worked odd jobs, but nothing regular.

3-08-09 DSO color challenge rocks it!

Well I had some visitors this weekend in my apartmaent but not who you would think! Ucky I had a little rodent problem yet again in the apartment. The ground is warming up a bit and the little creatures must be on the move and looking for food. I live on the outskirts of a metro are near some farms and fields, and meadows and there all all kinds of creatures that make their way into my backyard. No worries I'll share, just NOT in my house, well... apartment. LOL!





If anyone has heard of The Taming of the Shrew" or use the noun Shrew as a means of describing someone mean or uncooperative then let me tell you. These little critters are MEAN! and they bite and they come out in daylight and are not really that afraid of people. I get them in the fall sometimes as well. I am standing my ground this time and want those holes patched up by maintenance. I am so sick of them.





They say that they will even chew off thier own feet to escape those glue traps. UG!



Well, here I was on Friday night and the buses have stopped running and my car was out of commision (again). and I was sitting having a bowl of chicken chili and cornbread with my heighbor friend Dawn and out peeks this critter from around the corner. OMG!



What to do! OMG! Dawn, I say, "Dawn, lift your feet up!" hmmm that was met with a "What?" But once I explained the situation she shrieked and had her feet up under her. LOL!



We went for a nice long walk out in the spring air, listening to the birds chirp and the melting snow waters trickling to the gutters. Smelt so fresh and new. Ahh bliss. At that point I just needed to get out of the house for a little bit.



Well I called my brother and he came over with a few of those old fashioned mouse traps for my to set. I had never done that before, I always have used the live traps to be kind and set them free but I am fed up with the nasty little things!

At two am one of the traps went SNAP! and I thought phew! got him. So I was wrapping things up to get to bed and SNAP! again...caught a second one and that is why I ended up staying up most of the night...



I could not sleep so I made my DSO color challenge for you with Kim B's wonderful scrumptious colors inspired by the lovely spring air and weather. Please feel free to use this kit for your color challenge layouts or to mix and match with the other kits as well!!! :D

DSO color challenge feb 09 funky feeling freebie

Phew, I made it up today, I was so busy catching up on things from being in the hospital I did not think that I would get to this today but I put on a little quiet music and now I have it all ready and I am heading to bed right on my bed time too. :) Doctors orders! just did not realize how evil and addictive this digital scrapping can be. Now I am out of my rut and can have a balance, chores first, playing later. Rahhahahahahaaaaaaa, oh my ;)

This is what I made my LO with...Funky Feelin! I hope that it tickles your fancy. I could have created with these colors forever but alas, the month is already gone.

I had absolutely NO computer access the 8 days that I was in the hospital. Talk about withdrawl. But now I will treat the puter as a tool not the BE ALL! ;) Good luck fello scrappers, and designers. chuckle. I know how hard it is from one deadline to the next, especially for us stay-at-homers.

DSO color challenge LO

I am back from the hospital and feeling much better!!!

I made a small kit for the DSO color challenge and I should have that ready for you sometime tomorrow.

So I am squeeking in a LO for the challenge tonight to get credit for the challenge. I had no time to QC, zip, upload and preview since I have been back, I wanted to spend some time with my munchkin since I saw him once in the 8 days that I was in there. We had a fun day today :D

We had ***thunder snow*** on Thursday. It was a lightning and thunder storm while snowing....VERY WEIRD!!!

11-28 Berry Merry

I for one did not get a newpaper to see all of the Black Friday Sales. EW! The crowds, the greed...no thanks. So I have a stay at home prezzie for you all. I finished my DSO KimB's November color challenge. Now that I have CS# I am learning so much and can honestly say that this is becoming such a blast being able to change my creativity and vision into something tangible. Fun fun fun!

I had spell of bad luck...computer virus and it crashed, I couldn't wait for the repair and picked up a cheap computer so I had to set it all up new and then the repair was not so expensive so I have the old computer too. They wiped out the old computer and rebooted it so I had that one to set up also. Then my scanner light blew out and I can not live without a scanner ;).





In the meantime I had all of that moving to do. Well the rental manager now has too many move outs to deal with at the mnoment so most of my belongings are out in the garage and now I can't use the garage building for my car now. I have to wait until December or January for the remodel. For a while there I thought that it would not happen at all so I guess late is better than never. In a way I hope that they can't get to it or I will feel obligated to not decorate or have the tree up for Christmas. But with all that, I had the blahs and I am still looking for a job so I hope that my quiet spell is over :)





Yesterday I actually had a stroke of luck. I found an inexpensive honest car mechanic, Sounds kind of funny together like that hee hee but I was on top of the world with glee I tell you!!! He even gives free estimates and said that he can make service calls in the area if a customer beomes stranded and it is a simple repair. oh Really? Wow! Also he has a friend that does tow calls for $45 and that is half price for around here. What? Really?!!! Woot! So I asked for a business card to spread the word and he did not have any so I offered to make one. I made a card up for him as a thank you. It is something he can print on his office computer until he can order some business cards.





Well my muffler is now quiet again and the windows go up and down. I also have heat for the winter. My blower fan and regulator had blown out in it. Last month I had to replace the serpentine belt and it was on too tight beacause the part was too new and needed to stretch a little so it was squeelling. He fixed it all and I had enough money to get my new printer/scanner. Phew! Now the dear son needs new contacts and a warm winter coat/parka. Columbia's are really the warmest and most popular around here and as he has a 20 minute wait for the bus on his way home from school he really needs a quality one. Twenty below zero in Februray in the dark is always just plain COLD BRRRrrrrrrr! I hope that we have a long Fall season :)





Did I mention that I have a Freebie for you? I did the DSO color challenge. I also have a trial copy of Cs3 extended and am falling in love with it. Much easier to manuever that PSP. Lots of Bells and Whistles too. So thank you adobe photoshop and atomic cupcake for the actions :)
