Hi Everyone,

Amanda And I will be holding a speed scrap challenge on Friday evening 8:30 PM Central US time GMT-6).

This is a time to get together with our scrap friends and chat and scrap at the same time.

All you will need is to sign up in this thread at Life-Scrappers .

There will be a prize bonus scrap kit ' Frosted Meadow' to all who complete the challenge and a bonus prize pack also. I love these challenges and I hope that you do too or will come on and try one, I think they are a blast! See you all on Friday night. If you can not make it on Friday night, if there is enough interest in a Saturday morning time I can add that time slot as well.

This has been made with Amanda's and my kit 'Frosted Meadow' and the kit will be given as the bonus posting award upon completion of the challenge.

What you need: about two-two and a half hours of time set aside.

1.) Sign into the forum here 15 minutes before the speed scrap.(there will be a new thread.)

2). Have your scrapping software open and ready to create.

3.) Have your photos, digital scrapping papers and elements ready to dig through your stash.

4.) Follow the directions as to what to include on your page one step at a time.

5.) We will give an additional hour to complete your LO and have it uploaded to the gallery.

6.) Prizes given.

7.) then we all leave love for our speedy creations!

Technique Challenge sample

Hello Everyone, I hope that you all had an amazing Chritmad holiday. Mine was great, I made a deck of playing cards out of a scrap page layout for my Sister-in-Law and she was really pleased with them. She was showing them around to everyone, and they do plan to use them to play cards with, I am so glad!

A friend told me about them at heritage makers and then I googled Wal-mart.com photo center and they had them there so I uploaded a trimmed copy of a LO of my nieces and nephew and had them ship to the store here for free. It took about a week and was really worth it! I also made a deck for Grandpa to send to him in Arkansas. I hope that he likes them as well.

I also made some CD calendars from my Pink-a-Dilly kit for the girls and I struggled with how to get the CD cases to 'stand'-up. It took me a while to get it. You have to take the case apart and flip over the cover backwards and reconnect it and the layout goes in sideways to make a photo stand PHEW! I did it! Looks so cute. Now I have to print out another one to show everyone. I did save the files as Qp's so I will have them available in the store when the kit comes out as well.

I will be hosting a scrap challenge at Life-Scrappers on scrapping techniques soon and hope to have an advanced technique challenge for you the first part of January. Sue did such an amazing job on her LO here that I asked her for instructions to it. You need to get a PS filter to do the technique, that is why it is advanced. I hope that some of you will play along. There will be a posting bonus freebie but that has not been determined as yet. My sample for the techniques challenge.

This is my debut kit, Pink-a-Dilly, coming soon.

I am a new designer and excited to be holding my first creative team call. I can't wait to hear from you.

I am looking for four permanent CT and possibly some guests, please note whether you would consider a guest spot.

Sneak Peek at my debut kit by Crystal's Creations

Angels, sugar and spice...everything nice. I will have my grand opening in a few days at my new store. But since so many of you are dancing around waiting I thought that I would tempt you all a little with a sneak peek preview of what I have. When I decide what I have to play with and what will go nicely with the kit I will do a freebie for you as an add on so hold on to your seats, It will be a blog exclusive. So make sure to stop on by once the kit comes out. I am still keeping it a secret as to where I am selling at until this 'DEBUT' kit is up in the store.

Glitter Hearts Commercial Sample

Isn't funny how life can turn around on you one minute you have nothing interesting going on and maybe you are on the verge of boredom or have fallen into the doldrums already. But then something unexpected happens and life seems so full? Then you are overwhelmed because there are just too many things to do? Oh, my Gosh!! This week was busy.



They remodelled my kitchen cupboards on Tues. and I had a couple of days notice to pack up all of my things. I really did not realize how much stuff I had lurking in those cupboards and shelves. Isn't it weird what you can accumulate in nine years.



OK, so I made it through the crunch and I am getting my products ready for the store... shhh I still am keeping it to myself until I get my products in there.



I opened up my e-mail today and another site has contacted me about an opportunity there also.

Sometimes it just comes in droves!!! ;) I am so excited!



Well, among all of this craziness I still have not put up the Christmas tree I was waiting on the remodel and then it was SUPER cold out...-17 below Brrrr. I did not want to go out to the storage building and poke around in the dark for my stuff and then haul things inside... well this weekend's forecast is ...........LOTS MORE SNOW! I am down to the minute and need to get this done.



Oh yeah, and in some 'me time' I figured out how to do felt elements and glitter so here is a sample and I am doing it as a CU commercial use item. All of the layers are separated into individual .png layers and I also included the colored element as well. How Great is That?

I did the packaging for this, What do you think, I think it turned out all right.

Holly Jolly blog train is coming tomorrow! 80 stops!

Well, the Holly Jolly Blog train is here and this will be my contribution tomorrow. Dec. 15th. I will post the links tonight/ tomorrow morning at 12:30 AM CDT by scheduled post.

I was told that the kitchen remodel will be on Tues. I have to pack up my kitchen and dining rooms for the cupboards install. I hope to get the nice new oak cupboards. I have to remember to get some pics taken egads! I would rather be scrapping and designing than cleaning. rahahahaaa!

12-12 Noel Friday Freebie

Getting ready for Christmas. I heard today that they will come in to do the kitchen remodel on Tuesday 12-16. So I will have time to get the tree up after that! woot! I was worried that I would not be able to do much decorating. Boy will I be busy.

I have been accepted into a scrap store and my store will be open soon woot! I am so excited!!! So my scrap ID will drop down to Crystal's Creations. I will still use Crystal Creations by Design for the blog for the freebies. I will have more about this soon!

My son is a teenager and I had no clue what to get him but it worked out. I can't wait to see his face when he opens up his gift. ;)

I am a good elf. I have all of the presents and they are all hidden in the storage closet and under a blanket and wrapped hee hee. I only have to get the stocking stuffers and a few other gifts for friends. I am dating someone and have no idea what to get him. I don't date much. This is aaaaaaa weird.

12-7 Crochet Array CU

I have some undisturbed time on the computer this weekend and had a great scrap design session. I was asked for my crochet designs so I have made up a pack and a freebie. Just in time to get ready for the Sweet Heart kits for February. :) And there are plenty of flowers for you that are in the middle of summer right now. ;)

I am packaging up my blog train items for the Holly Jolly Express. This will debut on Mon. the 15th. I will have from one to 4 freebie packs for you ...Merry Christmas everyone!

All item are ecru (off-white) and can be used in commercial kits as is or you may be as creative as you want. I also allow web design with this item.

12-6 lefsa bake sale YUM!

My Best Friend and I went to a Norweigan potato flatbead-lefsa bake sale today. We were hoping for the cookies too but they were not to start that until 10:00 and the lefsa sale started at 9:00 so we did not stay around.



Baby it's COLD out here. It was -8 below Fahrenheit (windchill) this morning. That is a cold spell!!!! We usually do not have that cold of temps for a month yet. All that snow the last few days have kept things insulated and the north winds blew and well...BBBRBBRBRBRRRRRRRrrrrrrrr! hahaha. Good to stay in on the computer. LOL!

We are supposed to get 3 more inches of the white stuff...$!&#! 9snow) hey, that is a foul word, no swearing! hahahaa. And it is a four letter word too. hee hee hee. ;)



I priced the ingredients for the pies and MAN! blueberries are high! Oh My Goodness! So now my BFF's neighbors are going to share a pie instead of getting one each. I did not realize that fruit pies were so spendy. :O



I am glad about the positive responses to my Transcendat kit. I enjoyed making it and learning about the quality issues so there were just too many to re-do the whole kit so I hope that some of you are OK with using it as is. sorry. My kits from now on will be up to quality. Really no one had ever told me any of that stuff before. I am hoping to have an add on to the Transcendant kit for all of the stuffies that it is missing. I made a few pages with it and the one QP but it was lacking something??.....hmhmmmmm.

12-5 Grandma's Kitchen

Talking about pie... That pumpkin pie that I made for Thankgiving blossomed into an order for 6 pies for Christmas. The ladies are also interested in me making cookies for them as well. I did sell my cookies a couple years ago to co-workers but the scrapping has taken over much of my time instead of the baking so I did not do very much Christmas baking last year. It is good to know that I will be able to bake some and won't have to worry about finding a giveaway home for it when I have the orders for it and it will bring in a little bit of pocket spending money. :D

Hi everyone I am sitting here this morning wathching the snow fall down so quietly. It is cold here already feels more like our January.It is in the low teens fahrenheit. I guess it is going to be a long cold winter. I was going to go to the store today but I think I will caccoon in and make a pot of warm soup instead.

I am hoping that there will be time to do an add on to this kit with some feathers, fasteners, and some more buttons, flowers, and bows in January, I will be busy the rest of the month and I still have not heard when they are coming ion to do the remodel work. ::EEK::

12-2 Dec Sweet Tart Kit is up

Let's talk about food. YUM! I dieted the two weeks prior to the holiday and lost 11 pounds. I did gain 3 pounds over this week and I am back at it trying to lose 'the weight'. I have gained nearly 15 pounds since leaving my walking job in March 08. OH MY :O My guy friend seems to be happy with my decision as well even though he enjoyed my pies and could afford to diet along with me hee hee.

Speaking of pie... I sent some along to my very good friend and she in turn had someone over for tea. I did after all give her a quarter of each pie, apple and pumpkin. Well, it turns out that I received quite a compliment. She thought that the pumpkin pie was the best that she had ever had!!!! ROOT ROOT, coolness. :D well I have to admit I thought that they were really good this time too. ;) She has ordered a pie from me!

I love to bake and my Mom passed on her talent and interest in this area to me. I enjoy it for the theraputic qualities( all that stirring- you can really take out your anger sometimes KWIM?) and the thrill of getting the chemistry just right and also to make it prettified LOL! That is my son's word LMBO. The problem with baking is the fact that I have to find a home for it. Well, usually not too difficult hahahaaa. So along the lines of food...

I am constantly learning this design stuff. Now about quality... sniff sniff, every one has just been too darned nice to me all this time to tell me that my stuff is so wonky!!! I bit the bullet and asked for some advice from a few scrappers that I know and oh my STARS!!! hmmm back to the drawing board and so I decided to gift this to you.
